Trópico was established in 1977 in the city of São Paulo and in 1985 moved its plant facilities to the city of Indaiatuba, a major industrial cluster in the region of Campinas.

The new facilities allowed the enlargement of its line of products and its development into a production unit according to the most modern concepts of production management, part finish, packing and product forwarding.

All along its trajectory the company has carried out projects of urbanization and public lighting all over the national territory, including among its customers the major municipalities of the country.

Urban furniture, comprising bus shelters, signage, street clocks (with time/temperature displays), newsstands, public street and public square lighting are among the many products manufactured by Trópico and they comply with the most diverse requirements with respect to material quality and production techniques, ordered by renamed architecture and project development offices.

In view of its high production volume, Trópico negotiates directly with main manufacturers of steel and raw materials, and is able to provide products at competitive conditions, within short time, according to technical specifications for composition of materials and with total quality control.

There are no materials use restriction for the projects developed by the company: starting with steel and its different compositions, which represent the company's greater volume and allow the structural characteristics to be maintained for longer periods, Trópico still works with fiberglass resins, cast aluminum, flat and curved glasses.

Thus, the most daring projects may be carried out, with modern visual conception and meeting the characteristics of safety and structure longevity, even when utilized in open spaces and corrosion-prone places.

Trópico holds an ISO 9001 / 2000 international quality standard certification to better serve the foreign market.

In 2004, the company started to develop products also for the financial sector, creating a specific division for such purpose.

Among the many executed projects, we point out the self-service transaction room equipment fairing for the bank Nossa Caixa, rotating base unit fairing and autonomous equipment fairing at outside points for the banks Nossa Caixa and BRB and the Bank of Brazil.
